The Vampire Diaries: Vicki Learns To Eat

The Halloween special episode of The Vampire Diaries was a benchmark in itself. It was the perfect occasion to showcase the lives and times of vampires as well as initiate a newcomer into their brethren.

The Vampire Diaries

The undead newcomer in question is Vicki who has taken the massive leap from a side role to the lead actress all thanks to her death. Probably other minor characters like Tyler (Michael Trevino) are hoping for a similar fate to boost their chances of an extended screen appearance.

Two segments from the show stand out. The first is when Stefan and Damon essay the characters of the good angel and the bad devil in Vicki’s mind as she starts to feel hungry. This results in a rip-roaringly funny situation and proves that there can be no role which can give an actor eternal satisfaction as that of an evil vampire (Ian Somerhalder).

The second is when Vicki goes to attend the annual Halloween bash which ticks Stefan off because she is going out alone. I guess his resentment stems from the fact that on The Vampire Diaries, getting transformed into a vampire is probably every character’s waking dream.

It’s safe to say the Stefan and Elena’s love affair would be worth for keeps, but alongside this, our supporting cast would also have their own stories together. I am pertaining to Bonnie, Matt, Caroline, Jeremy and Vicky. [...]
