The Vampire Diaries put fans in a tail spin in the last episode with Aunt Jenna’s revelation that Isobel, who was killed by Damon (Ian Somerhalder), is Elena’s mother. New vampires interested in opening Katherine’s Tomb were introduced to the plot as well. Aunt Jenna argued with Elena (played by Nina Dobrev), but finally decided to tell her the truth about her mother. The episode left fans with lots of questions.

We have to wonder why Damon killed Isobel. The fact that Isobel looked so much like Katherine can’t be coincidence. Stefan is shaping up to be a devious fellow when he lied to Damon. How will Stefan react when he finds out that his brother Damon killed the mother of his love interest? Will Alaric figure out that Isobel is Elena’s daughter or does he already know?

Elena has had more than her share of life shattering events. After she lost her parents she fell in love with Stefan, and then she almost lost her brother. Then she found out that she was adopted. The revelation that Damon killed her mother may be the final straw for her. The introduction of these intriguing elements is sure to leave us with even more questions.
