The Vampire Diaries 3.14 “Dangerous Liaisons” Review

Surprisingly, this episode of The Vampire Diaries ended up in a rather racy scene between Rebekah and Damon, as this episode featured a very erotic scene at the conclusion of the show. So to analyze this scene, is it a meaningful scene and does it affect the story line? Or did the makers add it to add more problems between the two characters?

Come to think of it, it was actually worthwhile, and makes sense, as both of them, two angry persons yet friends, and they end up in bed, it’s perfectly normal, because how many times have we did that and wake up in the morning wondering how we got there? Plus it goes along well with the traits of their character, Damon being on his self destructive behavior and Rebekah with all of her love confusions and hesitated decisions.

But if you think more about it, it seems like it’s an attempt by the writers to keep this love triangle going as much as they can, although I don’t mind watching slow cookers, but it has to pay at the end, and in this case, this episode clearly didn’t do that, it was a rather mediocre episode of The Vampire Diaries.

Now onto another storyline that is quite hard to understand, seeing the writers trying to make us think that Caroline has feelings for Klaus, which is simply impossible to say the least, especially after what he did to the love of her life, Tyler, it is just a failed attempt to make us believe that there is something happening, so we can engage in twitter wars over the Caroline and Klaus relationship, while in reality, we are all smart enough to know that whatever happens, and no matter how bad the father issues are, she will end up with Tyler when he is back.

Now onto something we finally believed, seeing Mother Original on the quest to kill her own children, if you haven’t believed that, you better do, as her mind is set in order to fix what she did by messing with the order of things, especially after stating that to Finn, her secret holder, as she will not lie to him, but when the time comes, and the axe is ready, is she going to do it, we will have to watch and find out, but in her mind, she is set to do it. Because she can plan all she wants while being on the other side, but when seeing her children flesh and blood face to face, will she be able to kill them; this is another story to be told when the appropriate time comes.

So the highlights of this episode include the sex scene between Rebekah and Damon, Mother original’s decision to off her kids, and some unreal hints about Klaus and Caroline.
